Louisa died of a brain tumor in the family home at 1005 Cor de Alane, Spokane, Washington on January 15, 1904. She was survived by her husband and five children; Edward, Willard, Clara, Mrs. G.H. Meghen (Angeline) of Minneapolis and Mr. N. Gehr (Anna) of St. Paul.
